handmade christmas: creative displays for cards

if you're like me, you LOVE getting Christmas cards in the mail. i feel like all we ever get is junk and bills so to get a real card, well it sends me over the edge. the only conumdrum is how to display these beautiful, glittery, bright squares of joy.

country living always gets it right in my book. love the use of ribbon and all the different texture. my friend katie and i were on the same page with this one. i had dreamed in my head that something along these lines would be nice and lo and behold she had already whipped up an adorable version of this in her home.

i like this use of the branches and it looks like they used clothespins to attach them.

this simple use of floral wire and office supplies may make it's way to our humble abode. i could use a little calm in my winter wonderland.

An airy foyer welcomes guests with a homemade bulletin board and loads of vintage appeal.

garland over the fireplace is nice. oh how i wish i had one...

what a pretty vignette from who other than martha. again, the use of branches that you and i both have in our back yard is an elegant and rustic presentation. these are attached with ribbon. lovely.

isn't this beautiful garland romantic and homey and full of charm and whimsy?

ps i think our tree is dead.
